A Glimpse of History

Dating back to 1832, Tung Chung Fort is a Declared Monument in Hong Kong. It acted as the naval headquarters to defend against British and pirate invasions during the Qing Dynasty. Later, it played many diverse roles, including as a police station and a school. A visit to the fort will transport you back to a bygone era, as revealed by the four arched gateways each engraved with Chinese inscriptions.
